Aldon (1) Horse Trials 2011
It was good to see at Aldon that they threatened to eliminate & fine riders who didn't stick to their alloted times for cross-country.I know that it is difficult for those with multiple entries, & there will always be unforseen problems, but if eveybody abuses the system then it makes it more difficult to be accomodating.
Unless there has been a problem on the course there is no excuse for having only a handful of horses go through in the middle of the day. It is not fair on the fence-judges & officals, & makes it difficult for spectators ( & the odd photographer !! ) to follow what's going on.
Quote of the day came from photographer Nick Perry who said that he " had too many layers on !! " Not something that you usually associate with Aldon in March !!!
