Vulcan to the Sky - Funding update

Vulcan to the Sky - Funding update - £350,000 needed by 31st July -

We are conscious that nearly 50% of our core supporter base are not regular users of email or the internet. That is a huge potential audience that are possibly not even aware that the aircraft has moved to a new home and the exciting opportunities this will create for us. As we write, we are still some £110,000 short on what is needed to see out the 2011 season. It's vital we see this finance raised to convince our Trustees of our longer term survival and to lay the foundations for public access, tours and events to be offered in our Hangar.

Importantly, the card also lists where XH558 is booked for the remaining part of the display season, so inviting them to come to see her, to wonder and bask in the reward of seeing XH558 fly as a fitting tribute for all their past support - whilst also gaining valuable exposure to a far wider audience. Do watch out for it on your mat if you're on our list, and do whatever you can to help, or even pass it on to a friend.

"This is one of the biggest steps for Vulcan XH558 since her return to flight in 2007. It brings a new era of opportunities that will help to fund her future and provide new levels of access to her supporters"
said Vulcan to the Sky Trust CEO, Dr Robert Pleming.

He added, "We have just over five weeks to go with our appeal. Please do everything you can do to help bridge the funding gap and we will then be able to deliver exciting news on our future plans for late 2011 and onwards towards the Vulcan's 60th Anniversary year."
